company, oriented towards the designing, production
co-ordination and curating of contemporary visual
arts projects. One of the founders and coordinators
of Forum European Cultural Exchanges.
ArtBOX.gr | arts
management was founded in 1998 by its Director,
Christos Savvidis.
Its activities revolve
around the planning, coordination and curating of contemporary arts events in Greece
and abroad. Since 2004 ArtBOX.gr is in charge of the
artistic direction of the annual visual arts
festival Action Field Kodra. Recently, the company
has undertaken the artistic direction of Art Athina
–international contemporary art fair of Athens
(2006-2009).
ArtBOX.gr has organized
and/or curated a number of contemporary arts
exhibitions, projects, conferences, discussion
panels and events, in Greece and abroad.
ArtBOX.gr is one of the
founders of Forum European Cultural Exchanges, and
has also been Forum’s coordinator since 2000. Forum
is a platform of cultural exchanges between the
countries of Europe, Southeast Europe and the
countries of Caucasus, focusing on the issue of
artistic mobility. Forum’s activities include annual
exhibitions, symposia, exchanges and collaborations
with cultural institutions and networks in Greece
and abroad, the Forum Artists-in-Residence programme
(FAR), publications, etc.
Within ARTVENTURE, and
through Forum’s platform mainly but also through its
various activities, ArtBOX.gr can offer its
expertise and valuable contribution in the area of
networking with other institutions and international
collaborations, organising exhibitions, residencies,
special projects, and conferences.
