Conferences together with a great number of projects and publications act as a theoretical basis for all ARTVENTURE projects. By inviting people working in the cultural field - artists, art critics, managers and students - the conferences provide an open space where different theoretical approaches are exchanged.

Three types of Conferences will be organised.

The Conferences organised in the framework of Meeting Europe: transRobota (Poland) will raise the issue of the importance of art creation in the regeneration process of industrial heritage.

The aim of the Conferences: On Criticism (Cyprus) is to invite international and local speakers in order to discuss about the situation and the role of writing in contemporary art and to meet the peculiar practices in different European countries. The Conferences aim to establish a long-lasting dialogue platform and organise a regular meeting of specialists. The discussions will be collected on supporting DVDs and then placed at the disposal of the universities working on art criticism.

Other Conferences will enhance the events organised. The invited specialists will go deeper into the thematic of each event. The major themes approached are the evolution of practices, as well as the impact that the development of new technologies has on an artistic field and the interaction between schools and countries.
